These terms apply when you buy equipment from the online shop on alrecovery.ie. Please read them before you order. Our recovery, towing and transport services are quoted and agreed separately and aren’t covered by these terms.
1. About us
The shop is run by AL Recovery & Transport, 14 Clos Brid, Saltown, Dundalk, Co. Louth, A91 A48P, Ireland. You can contact us by email at help@alrecovery.ie or by phone and WhatsApp on +353 86 158 2524.
2. Your order
When you place an order, you’ll receive an email confirming we’ve received it. This doesn’t mean we’ve accepted it yet. Our contract with you starts when we dispatch the goods and confirm that by email.
If an item turns out to be out of stock, or a price on the website is clearly wrong, we’ll contact you before dispatch. You can then choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel, and any payment for items we can’t supply is refunded in full.
3. Prices and VAT
Prices are in euro and are shown both including and excluding VAT at 23%. The VAT-inclusive price is what you pay. Delivery charges are added at checkout and shown before you pay.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. You can pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Amazon Pay or Stripe Link, depending on the options shown at checkout. We never see or store your full card details. Payment is taken when you place your order.
5. Delivery
Dispatch times, delivery methods and charges are set out on our Delivery Information page. The goods are your responsibility from the moment they’re delivered to the address you gave us. They become your property once we’ve received full payment.
6. Returns, refunds and damaged parcels
Our Returns & Refunds page explains your 14-day cancellation right, the condition items must be in, who pays for returns and what to do if a parcel arrives damaged. It forms part of these terms.
7. Product information and safe use
We describe our products as accurately as we can. Photos are for illustration and packaging or small details may differ.
Recovery equipment must be used by competent people, in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and within its rated capacity. Never exceed the working load limit, lashing capacity or pulling rating of any item, and never use recovery equipment for lifting unless it is specifically rated for lifting. Check equipment for wear or damage before every use and stop using any item that is worn or damaged.
8. Faulty goods and warranties
As a consumer, you have statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described. These terms don’t affect those rights. Where a manufacturer provides a warranty with a product, that warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.
9. Our responsibility to you
We’re not responsible for loss or damage caused by misuse, overloading, incorrect fitting, lack of maintenance, modification, accidents or normal wear and tear.
If you buy as a business, we’re not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, downtime or any indirect loss, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid for the goods concerned.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.
10. Business customers
If you buy for your business, the 14-day consumer cancellation right doesn’t apply. Section 9 sets out the limits on our responsibility to business customers.
11. Privacy and cookies

12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.
13. Law
These terms are governed by Irish law and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protection given to you by the law of the country where you live.
